Tropical Cyclone Caleb formed in the open waters between Cocos and Christmas islands on 23 March 2017. Caleb developed into a category 1 Tropical Cyclone and moved in a south to southeasterly
direction away from the two islands. On 25 March TC Caleb changed direction towards the west. Tropical Cyclone Caleb did not gain strength and was downgraded to a tropical low pressure system on
28 March, the system did not produce gales over Cocos or Christmas Islands or the WA mainland.
