Tropical Cyclone Anggrek

Severe Tropical Cyclone Anggrek developed in the Indian Ocean near the Cocos (Keeling) Islands on January 15 2024. TC Anggrek was named by the Jakarta Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre as it developed outside the northwest boundary of the Australian Bureau of Metrologies' area of responsibility. Anggrek is the second cyclone of the 2023-24 season.

Anggrek will continued moving southwest and intensified to a category 4 Severe Tropical Cyclone and left the Australian region.
